This tool follows the company production philosophy. A practical and technical knife, specifically designed to appeal to the traditional hunter who likes the idea of the do-it-yourself motto.
The latin engraving on the blade reads:
"I am the hunting knife, I am the talon, the beak and the fang of my master. My duty is ancient as is meat and blood". We find it describes significantly the pure essence of this tool.
More than a knife, the Culter Venatorius is a complete kit to cut and skin medium to big sized preys. It is suitable for hoofed animal hunters.
The kit includes one big cutting knife, one skinner with cross handle to skin and clean the animal from internal organs, one carver to skin head and snout and a two grain stone sharpener for all tools.
The accessories are carried in a side pocket of the hand made leather sheath.
The hand crafted leather sheath keeps its traditional appearance but is completely ambi-dextrious.
Side pocket and belt loop can be carried on either side of the sheath.
The locking system, that keeps the knife inside the sheath, can be opened from either side.
The sheath can be worn on belt and tied to the leg, it can be worn over the shoulder, or fastened to the waistline by the long supplied belt with buckle and snaplinks.
The handle, made of oiled cocobolo, is long enough to use this knife as a little machete or chopper and thin enough to perform precision cuts.
The blade is made of Bohler N690, an excellent steel enriched with chrome, molibdene, vanadium and cobalt which has become a standard in technical and professional knive production.
